Pilates. There are so many variations, disciplines, methodologies that have evolved from the original concept begun by Joseph H. Pilates in Germany over 70 years ago. His vision was true and pure, however, with the basis for aligning our core to create balance and strength running through with the Kundilini energy body of Chakras ultimately being in control of our mind.

My personal journey into Pilates as a form of exercise just began in early 2016, and since then I have discovered the unique benefits derived such a discipline. Using the mind and body in tandem for re-training the core of our energy, strength and balance now represents so much more, as I watch my nearly 95 year old father who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s about 6 years ago, responding so well to basic exercise. 

This Blog, Pilates: Body, Mind & Spirit, will be a journal of the interweaving of the discipline of Pilates itself, along with the body, mind and spirit coordination results that will flow into other aspects of the passions in my life … as with us all… which culminates in the core (cour, cor = heart) of our being.
